Healthy Nails? Health Hoof!

So after the weirdest post title, lets talk about the best nail treatment I have found...
Healthy Hoof, this is an intensive protein treatment for your nails, that was originally used in the horse world and has now been brought into the world of aesthetics

So long story short, I have stopped getting gel nails, so my nails are absolute garbage right now.. I came across Healthy Hoof a few years ago, actually the last time I decided to stop getting my nails done and forgot about it until now, but let me tell you for anyone who has super weak nails this stuff is amazing. Its a cream that you apply to your nail and cuticle area and because it is a protein treatment it strengthens your nails and moisturizes your cuticles as well - its basically like a hair mask for your nails. This product has a very light lavender scent and absorbs almost instantly, the only thing I would warn you about is not to use it before you paint your nails because the nail polish will not adhere properly, because of the lotion consistency of this nail treatment.
All in all Healthy Hoof gets a good 10/10 in my books for being a standup nail treatment and my new/old holy grail product.

If you have tried this product please comment down below and let me know what you think of it as well!

MAC Soft and Gentle | Product of the Week

I am finally back to doing product of the week posts! Every Wednesday I am going to have a feature product, it could be makeup, skincare, or haircare. So to kickoff the first Product of the Week post for the year, we have a oldie but a goodie... MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle.

I recently started reaching for this highlighter again this past week, and I have fallen in love all over again.. Seriously I put it on and all that I can think is YAAAAASSSS. It is the perfect cheek bone highlight, and a lot of days I will also use it as a brow bone, and inner corner highlight. It is more of a bronzey peach tone and quite shimmery, but I find you really cannot use too much of it.

If you haven't tried this before I strongly urge you to go to MAC and pick it up... And if its sitting collecting dust, think about picking it up again like I did

L'Occitane Lavender Hand Creme | Product of the Week

Being a hairstylist, I need good quality hand cremes on deck at all times. I got this for Christmas one year in my stocking and have finally decided to break it open and use it, I must say L'Occitane has outdone themselves with this lotion. It's so moisturizing and absorbs very quickly without leaving your hands feeling greasy or anything like that. The lavender scent is also very soothing for my hands as they are dry and cracked from being in water all day. I would recommend this hand creme to anyone; especially people who do have dry skin, or work in professions which are hard on the hands like I do. This product retails for 12$ on the L'Occitane website for a 30ml tube.
Let me know if any of you ladies have any other hand lotions I should try!

Product of the Week| Review

Hello lovely ladies,

A product I am just loving right now is the Revlon Nutri Colour Creme in the colour 500(purple red) ... Excuse the bottle, it likes to leak on itself :(

This product is basically a colour boosting conditioner that you use once a week. I use it every time I wash my hair, because I only wash it once a week and I really don't like when my red hair starts to fade. This conditioner keeps my colour so vibrant and I have yet to find another product that works this well.

To use this conditioner you shampoo and then apply the product, comb it through your hair and leave it on for 3 minutes when you want to refresh your colour quickly. If you find your colour needs a little added refreshment you can leave this on for longer but I find the 3 minutes works beautifully. Because the colour 500 is a purple red, it does stain skin (gotta love red right?) so try to keep it off your scalp if you can, but I am fully aware that's easier said than done.

The Revlon Nutri Colour Creme line comes in a variety of colours, most of the products the line carries cater to colours that are harder to keep vibrant in the hair, like fashion colours, reds, browns, and pastels.

This product retails for 33$ at Chatters in Canada but the price would vary dependant on where you purchase it.

I think that anyone who has a hard to maintain hair colour should try the Revlon Nutri Colour Creme. It completely changes your hair game!

I hope you ladies are having a good week,

Product of the Week | Review

Hey ladies,

So this week my favourite product has to be the Makeup Forever Sens'Eyes makeup remover.

(Photo taken from Google)

I got this product for Christmas this year and never really started using it until now, because I was working through other makeup removers. But this is amazing stuff. It is a lotion as opposed to a gel or liquid which I really like, it's also made for sensitive skin but takes off even the most stubborn waterproof or smudge proof makeup. It also doesn't really have a scent. The fact that this product can remove all my makeup and not irritate my skin is beautiful!

To use this product I just put it on a cotton pad and the swipe it over my eyes as needed. I usually use one pump twice on each eye and that takes it all off, and then I wash my face as usual afterwards.

At Sephora in Canada this product retails for 10$ for the travel size (1.01oz) and 24$ for the full size (3.38oz) which is not bad considering it lasts forever!

I hope all you ladies have had a good week

Product of the Week | Review

Hello lovely ladies,

So for this weeks Product of the Week, I have decided the Wet Brush needs to be in the spotlight.
Since I got my weave back in (lol) I needed something to brush my hair that would work well with my extensions so that there is not a lot of tugging or anything like that.

This brush is a little piece of heaven. It is a brush that's designed for "wet" hair because they bristles are very moveable and not too firm so it detangles easier that way. I honestly use it for wet and dry hair because it glides over all my tracks so seamlessly and doesn't rip my extensions out like a lot of brushes can!

Anyone who has really thick hair, curly hair or basically any hair that is hard to handle needs one of these brushes in their lives!

Also they retail for about 16$ in Canada :)

Product of the week | Review

Hey ladies,

So this week I am going to have two product of the week posts because last week life got super busy, but I didn't forget about you guys!

My product for this week is the Tarte Gifted Mascara

I got this in a Tarte package from Sephora, it was like 500 beauty insider points I believe. I love this mascara, it lengthens , volumizes  and separates your lashes. I would recommend this mascara to anyone!

You can get the full size product from sephora for around 20$ and the travel/trial size for around 10$

I hope any of you ladies who decide to try this love it :)

Product Of The Week | Review

Hey ladies,

So I'm going to start doing a product of the week, which I will post every Thursday or Friday.

This weeks product of the week is the new Loreal Infaliable Makeup Extender Setting Spray.

I recently bought this from Target for $11.99 - after hearing so many people on YouTube like @thataylaa rave about it,I decided I needed to try it for myself and it's just as wonderful as I have heard. I usually use the Urban Decay Deslick
Setting Spray and I find this one very comparable to it but with a nicer price tag!

For anyone who loves the Urban Decay Setting Sprays I completely recommend this one as an alternative.

I hope you ladies are having a good week and I'll have another new post up soon.
