February Favourites | 2016

So February flew by and before I knew it, we are now in the middle of March and I have not put up my February Favourites for you guys... but now were here, better late than never right. February was a very busy month between my two jobs and home life, to heres to March slowing down a little bit and having a little bit more time to set aside for you lovely people, because I feel bad neglecting my blog and everything around it. Anyways without anymore of my rambling lets get into my February Favourites

Mac Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Sin
I absolutely love this lipstick colour, its a nice deep blue red. The fact it is cool toned works great with my skin tone, even though were coming into spring now I still really love dark bold lips, but I am sure once we actually get into spring I'll go back to liking nudes, and more mauvey types of colours. I think they only thing I dislike about this lipstick is the fact its very drying, most matte lipsticks are though so they kind of go hand in hand, but as long as you exfoliate your lips and use a lip balm before you apply it, you should be golden!

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray
For only being about $10 this setting spray is pretty good, it keeps my makeup matte and helps with its lasting power. Whenever I am on a budget I always get this from my local drugstore because its cheaper than my Loreal Infalliable Setting Spray, and they are very similar this one is just cheaper which is always a plus for me!

Moroccanoil Treatment Light
I cannot explain how much I love this product, I have been using it religiously for years, and then I took a break for a bit ( I'm still not sure why) and I recently started using it again and have fallen in love with it again. The smell is amazing. I use the light formula because my hair is so fine, but it absorbs instantly when my hair is wet and when I use this when my hair is dry it only takes a few minutes to absorb. I use this multiple times a day and it never ceases to work perfectly. A girl I work with always says, if I could bathe in Moroccanoil I probably would.

Redken Pillow Proof Blow-dry Express Primer
This is my favourite product to start my haircare routine with, its a primer so its the first product that is used, and then everything else follows. This primer is fantastic because it makes your hair dry up to 30% faster and it has a heat protectant in it. Some of the benefits of this spray is heat protection up to 450 degrees, anti breakage and it cuts blow-dry time. This is a great first step in my haircare routine.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Spearmint Lip Velour Lip Scrub
One my friends gave this too me one day a while back and I wanted to finish up my Lush lip scrub before breaking out this one, and I have to say I absolutely love it. Its a little bit rougher than the Lush one but that is perfectly ok with me considering I live in Canada and its very dry here, so therefore I need to exfoliate my lips and moisturize them very well all the time. This scrub keeps my lips in check at all times!

January 2016 Favourites

So the first month of 2016 has flown by to say the least, and before I knew it, it was time for a favourites post for all you lovely humans - so here we are. I decided against doing a 2015 favourite products because honestly there was so many products I tried and fell in love with, you guys would be reading for months, or at least until 2017. For my favourites posts this year, I am going to be picking 5 products that I have loved the most for that month, so the posts are relatively short and sweet, but I am going to be bringing back my product of the week posts as well, so there will be lots of content in these up coming months. Anyways, these are the products I have been loving for the month of January.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Daily Scrub
One of my favourite Youtubers Thataylaa, has always raved about the Neutrogena Rapid Clear line, and for the past few months my face has been having a moment of weakness and breaking out everywhere... So it was time to bring out the big guns, and I have to say this scrub is amazing. I have been using it in the mornings and I honestly think that it has been helping my skin out a lot. My breakouts have subsided, and my skin is starting to look a lot better. I think this product is going to become one of my holy grails.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask
So there is another one from Thataylaa, I have had this mask for a while now but I recently started using it again... I can never seem to find the time to do face masks, I'm not sure why but it always seems like so much effort (who agrees?) Anyways, I am reintegrating face masks into my skincare because man do they ever make a difference. This mask starts to clear up my acne while its on, and the cooling affect of the tea tree makes my skin feel fantastic. I have been using this twice a week and its made a hell of a difference in my skin, even though doing masks is a pain in the ass, I am forcing myself to because the results outweigh the effort.

Nivea Men After Shave Balm - Sensitive
So I heard NikkieTutorials raving about using this after shave balm as a primer, so I had to buy it. I cannot even put into words how fucking fantastic of a primer this product is. It has glycerin in it and everything sticks to glycerin, so your makeup does not budge all day. I have super oily skin as we all know and this product keeps my makeup looking flawless all day and into the night. Seriously everyone should just go out and buy this right meow.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation 091 Light Ivory
Seriously this foundation, I have fallen in love. I''m still not sure why anyone would need a 25 hour foundation but thats beside the point, this foundation does not come off. Every Saturday I have a 20 hour work day, I get ready at 8 am and do not get home again until between 3 and 4 am, the fact this foundation can make it through that whole day and still look decent by the time I finally get home means, its amazing. It can get a little oily if you don't set it and have oily skin but once its set this stuff doesn't go anywhere.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
This product is a oldy but a goodie, I just recently started using this palette again, and I honestly don't know why I ever stopped. I love the rosey colours, the pigment is amazing and all the colours blend out beautifully. I have been using this pretty much every day for my simple work day to day makeup look and the nights when I work at the bar, its so easy to make a bold eye look, but still look classy with this palette. I just cant say enough good things about this eyeshadow palette.

October Favourites

With the fall season beginning I have some new products for you guys, and some older ones that I have recently fallen in love with again. I have decided that I am going to be doing favourites posts every two months, with doing that they will be constant and I will be featuring products which are new to me and hopefully new to you as well.

Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Primer - I got a little sample size of this primer and from the few times I have used it I just love it. It is oil free so it doesn't make my skin more of a oil slick than it already is ( which is always a good thing) it also makes my foundation stay on so when I am wearing the same face for 14 hours I don't have to worry!

Macadamia Ultra Rich Moisture Oil Treatment - I have been using this oil in my extensions because we all know extensions get dry and shitty in no time at all when your heat styling them every day or every second day.. so this has been my go to product for moisturizing them and it works like a charm. The only thing to be careful with is how much of it you use, because if you use even the tiniest bit too much your hair will be greasy and awful until you wash it again.

Vaseline Spray and Go Lotion - I keep hearing amazing things about this sprayable lotion and I am not the one to want to, or who remembers to take the time to moisturize my body, so I decided to try this product and I must say it is a life savour. I got this in the coco butter scent and I am in love.. It takes me a minute or two to moisturize my whole body after I shower and who doesn't want that, any of my lovelies who are lazy like me need this product in their life.

Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer - This primer is very quickly becoming one of my holy grail products. After nights where I go out or work at the bar I need this in the morning... Seriously this primer is like the gatorade of makeup. It helps to make it look like you are not running on 3 hours of sleep or less even if you are and who doesn't love that. Any night owl like me needs this in their life, especially if you work a night or a day job.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner Trooper - I finally strayed from my Physicians Formula Eye Booster Pen and decided to try out the Kat Van D Tattoo Liner and I am in love. I get such precise lines with this product and it does not come off until I wash my face. This is for sure a new holy grail product for me.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick Lolita - I am very unaware of why it took me so long to jump on the Lolita trend and I have no idea why ( probably because its so hard to come by) but I am in love with this liquid lipstick and rarely reach for any other colour right now. I am going to be very sad when this same size runs out if I cannot find another one in store by that point.

Let me know what products you guys have been loving this past month,

Until next time, stay beautiful

July Favourites

I know its been a while since I have made a favourites post, but I am working on getting back into the habit of sitting down and writing these once a month so you guys can know about the products I have been loving this past month! And this is up before the end of the month, so I must be taking this getting back into favourites posting somewhat seriously... But here we go, I don't have a bunch of products but I narrowed it down until the products I loved the most.

Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil- We got the Kardashian Beauty haircare line in at work, so I decided I would try out their dry oil as I am a sucker for hair oils. I must say I love this product, it has made my extensions feel fantastic, it is a little to heavy for my natural hair but it makes my extensions look and feel amaze balls, and the smell of this is also to die for. Once I am done my handful of samples, I will be buying this in the regular size.

Maybelline Lash Sensational- I have continually heard youtubers and bloggers rave about this mascara, so naturally I had to run out to Shoppers and purchase it. This mascara is fantastic, and I have been reaching for it everyday! I think this is going to become a holy grail mascara for me, and I have only had it for about two weeks so its gotta be pretty fantastic to make it into my monthly favourites.

Nars All Day Luminous Foundation- This foundation I was very unsure about buying as I stated in my most recent Sephora haul which can be found here . I have been wearing this everyday and I have not stopped loving it. As long as I use a primer and set it with a powder this stays on all day and for me that makes this foundation worth it to me, even with the highend price tag.

Makeup Forever HD Mircofinish Powder - I recently got this from one of my good friends who was cleaning out her makeup/ skincare collection before moving to Australia. I have heard many reviews about this powder and not having to spend the (39$ at Sephora) on it made me even more excited. I have been using this product everyday to set my Nars All Day Luminous Foundation, and it works beautifully. It makes my foundation completely matte, which is something I look for in setting powders and it controls my oil, so I only have to blot my face once or twice a day. I would recommend this to anyone with oily skin.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation- I have had this foundation for probably the last 6 months, and I have always found it quite a hit or miss product, until I started applying it with a brush... I always found this got cakey on my face and didn't cover etc etc, but applying this without a beauty blender and using a brush instead makes all the difference. Now this foundation is one of my favourites, I don't use too much and get a cakey look, I can now apply this evenly to my face and my face looks flawless. As long as I set this with a powder my face doesn't get oily and the foundation actually lasts for 12 hours, so over all now that I have figured out how to use this product it is amazing.

Moroccan Oil Hydrating Conditioner - I have my extensions out now and I decided to go back to my old holy grail Moroccan Oil conditioner, I forgot how much I loved this conditioner. It is light enough that my super fine hair doesn't get weighed down, but it has enough hydration that it makes my hair feel amazing even though it is super damaged. This conditioner is amazing for fine hair to give it hydration without being super heavy, the smell is also amazing and thats why I keep going back to Moroccan Oil products.

Moroccan Oil Light Oil Treatment - Again with my extensions out, I have to revert back to using lighter products, so here we are with my holy grail Moroccan Oil Light Oil Treatment, I use this in wet and dry hair and it gives wonderful hydration and shine to my hair when its wet, and when its dry it helps with shine and static. The scent of this is just as amazing as every other Moroccan Oil product and this haircare line will always be a strong part of my hair care routine.

Carmex - This is my holygrail lip balm and I forgot how much I loved it until I ran out and my Shoppers was also out of stock for two weeks. I am very happy this product comes in 3 different packages, the original tub, and tube and the stick which I just found out about. Now the perfect lip balm comes in different packaging for everyones needs!

I hope you guys enjoyed hearing about the products I have been loving this past month, and I would love to hear what you guys have been loving as well!
